Already done it.

Going to be different for nearly everyone. I'd either want mountains (PNW, Utah, Colorado, Montana - and yeah I'm in Utah now), a clean and large city environment, or coast/beaches. Or some combination of a couple of those. No plains, no fly-over suburbs.

I have 2/3 now, so doing alright.

I don't wanna go.
If heaven ain't a lot like Dixie.
I'd just as soon stay home.

Then why do they keep moving here??

Maine, Colorado, or further south. Texas remains to be fine for me.

No. There's nothing stopping me from moving out of the south now, I live here because I choose to.

I like where I am. I enjoy the city and my family is very close. If I didn't care about being near my family, I would have probably already moved to the Pacific NW

I can move out of the South. I just have no desire to. I travel all over the country with work. I'm always happy to leave. If I did move from LA it would be to Coastal South Carolina or Western NC, which is still the South.

Moved to Seattle Nov 2015 after 33 years in BR. Not a single regret.

If money is not a factor? I'd move to NYC.

Money being a factor? I'm happy with our decision to move to Boston, but I could easily be happy moving to somewhere on the west coast.

Seems all my friends have moved or are in the process of moving to the triangle. We are looking to move Southern base to somewhere between Brevard and Boone. God's country.
