Probably not because I think I'd buy a ton of land and build a big house in western NC/eastern TN if money wasn't an issue. But I'm thinking about this in a more "if I have no kids and am older" type mentality.
If kids are a factor and didn't have to think about money, I'd leave the South in a heartbeat if I could. Better opportunities for them outside the South.

South West, maybe. The south, as an economic region, is hard to beat.

If money isn't a factor, I think I'd like to check out San Diego.

From Southern California. Moved to Tennessee. Moved back to California. Then moved back to Tennessee and don't plan on ever leaving again. I missed/thought about East TN to much every time I left.

I can and choose not to. If I have to live in the US, it's the Gulf Coast for me.
