Nugget you seem well intentioned albeit terrifyingly ignorant so here is some very solid advice
Never say any of the shite you do on here to your employer or anyone you work with.
What is your solution to fight climate change?
Let me guess. More government. More taxes. More regulations. Less freedom and liberty.

And you link a tabloid article. Nice.

Did you just link daily mail as a serious news source?
care to dispute the contents of the article?
this is what we're reduced to since CNN/MSNBC/WAPO/NYT/HUFFINGTON refuse to report on this.

Uhhh you realize the wealthiest and therefore those with the most influence are oil companies and those that own them
Have you ever had an original thought or do you just regurgitate what you read on the poliboard
There's more money and power in oil than in every "green industry" combined
This is really what it comes down to. And I understand why a lot of people in Louisiana refuse to accept it. A lot of them rely on oil and gas for a living, so of course they don't want to see more funding into "green" energy. It sucks for them, but they have to realize that it's the cycle of industry. There's no real reason for us to not be investing in clean, renewable energy right now.

What is your profession?

Of course the only solutions involve more government, more taxes, more wealth redistrivbution, more regulations, more power consolidated into the elite and bureaucracy, less freedom and less liberty
This may be the most narrow minded way of thinking ever.
You see that as the only solution to a problem because you clearly lack any ability to think for yourself.
You live in constant fear so you project that fear.
I cannot even fathom how you drew those conclusions as to those being the only ways to fix a very real issue.

There you go again immediately projecting your fears onto anything that doesn't fit your narrow view of things.
What a sad life it must be to live in constant fear

Maybe people would be more willing to accept it if the solutions weren't all orwellian.
you already started this thread and we answered it for you

How would I dispute it? I'm in commercial insurance. There are numerous articles, many from NASA, that have concluded time and time again that climate change is real.

I could care less
If my employees or co workers would care that much about my views on climate change I wouldn't want to work here anyway

plenty of scientists have destroyed it, even ones that actually worked with the data
shall I link them all?

Massive deflection
Note you didn't answer my question
How do you fight climate change. What are your solutions

I'm in Oil.
I am not an expert in the field, but I would certainly focus on cleaner renewable energies such as wind and things of that ilk.
We are a long way off from being independent of fossil fuels and pollutants but it's not that far fetched to start moving heavily into renewable resources.
Your problem is you absolutely feel you have an answer and solution to everything regardless of how little you actually know. You're a kid barely out of college you don't know shite about frick.

Wake me up when wind and solar can power the trucking and airline industry
Right now electric cars(which are still ultimately powered by coal and nuclear plants) are tin cans that can only go like 120 miles on a single charge

I have already told you that the solution will work itself out with improved technology and efficiency
Once we learn how to capture all emissions, and then turn those emissions into profit...well that solves most of the issues
that tech is being developed right now

You have the reading comprehension of my pet rock.
I very clearly stated we are a long way off of being entirely independent of fossil fuels and other propellants.
Since you clearly missed it the first time. Nobody has all the answers least of all you.
Bless your heart child you trying at least

A landmark scientific paper –the one that caused a sensation by claiming there has been NO slowdown in global warming since 2000 – was critically flawed. And thanks to the bravery of a whistleblower, we now know that for a fact.
This is another republican lie. Lamar Smith made this shite up and the Daily mail.... reported it. The "brave whistleblower" has in fact refuted this lie by republicans.

Bates did not accuse his former colleagues of manipulating ocean temperature data. But he did argue that the group didn’t adhere to NOAA’s protocols involving the release and archiving of the ocean data.
quote:
However, any purported protocol issues haven’t prevented other scientists from replicating the Science study’s analysis of ocean data. Zeke Hausfather, a data scientist at the University of California, Berkeley, and others replicated the NOAA scientists’ analysis of ocean data in a study published in the journal Science Advances in January.

So let me get this straight. You think EVERY major world leader besides Trump is wrong about climate change? Why would scientists lie? How do they benefit from this?
