It's all bullsh!t.
The amount that the earth has supposedly warmed is the amount of the adjustments to the actual numbers.
I searched and didn't see so SIAP.

When I worked in remote sensing we adjusted the 'actual' temperatures we took with the radiometers to better meet what the real temperatures were because we know know temperature effects electronics and we had calibration correction data for that instrument. We also corrected for emissivity of the surface we were measuring.
