Look, I don't think the guy is racist. But the guerrilla effect is not a tennis term

I don't know if it's s tennis term or not. Here's what the story says...

quote:

“He has suffered serious emotional distress and harm because he has been falsely accused of being the worst thing imaginable, and something he clearly isn’t and never has been, all over the use of the word ‘guerilla,’ a word that is commonly used in tennis.”

Just another day in the SJW world. Funny the parallels between this and the Judge situation in Baton Riuge. The mob demands a head and whether the person is guilty or not has nothing to do with it.
you mean much like this

In middle school, kids are taught of the guerrilla offensive in defeating the redcoats. It is an unconventional style of attack using surprise tactics and muscle.

And I am telling you, from playing in college, a little pro, that it is not used in tennis. This is the first time I have ever heard it used in a tennis setting.

If they bring an expert witness, they can refute the shite out of that being a common tennis term.

Firing may be stupid, but I'm not sure what this even means.

It suggests a type of warfare that utilizes ambushes and raids, things of that nature.

I can't recall exactly, but he was talking about Venus's return of service or her attacking the net. It was something along those lines, but he was discussing her attacking/aggressive nature, so yea, the comment fit nicely. I hope he gets whatever he deserves.

From the article:

quote:

Apparently the world “guerilla” has been used for decades in the tennis world. The complaint mentions “Guerilla Tennis,” thename of a famous 1995 Nike television ad campaign featuring superstars Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras setting up an impromptu tennis match in the middle of a busy city intersection. The ad ran during the US Open and was profiled again in a 2015 Vanity Fair article after the tennis stars  reunited for a similar rematch in the streets of New York.

The term is also used as the name of aTwitter account called Guerilla Tennis started in 2014 by a tennis enthusiast.

Guessing they'll say it's like the SABR. Although, sneak attack by Roger is hilarious imo.

It is clear he was using the word guerilla. I am not arguing that.

But it isnt some known tennis lingo.

Tennis lingo:

tank

bageled

tree

Not guerilla

yes he was 100% saying she was being deceptive, ie, a guerrilla

funny enough, if "gorilla tennis" was a thing, Serena would be the one to get the label. not b/c of racism, but b/c i'd assume "gorilla tennis" would mean big, powerful play that is her bread and butter. that ain't Venus, though
