You would be shocked at the amount of drivers in EA, the LP and East BR parishes that drive WITHOUT insurance.....

Insurance coverage is a cultural preference. Laws requiring insurance are racist.

No it's not..... you have to have insurance to operate a motor car....

But I did have a nice time back in the early 80,s with a chick that hit me and had no insurance. Very minor damage to my car and hers was not too bad... she said no cops I'll take care of you..... And she did.......

Im not following you here. This isn't for health insurance, it's for car insurance. You don't think that should be mandatory? Not even liability insurance?

shite, if you think North BR is the only places these are needed, you're wrong.

BR has become an ant hill/pile that has been stepped on.

Work with gas and insurance companies so that you have to scan your insurance card to activate the gas pump.

A lot more people will have insurance.

I am sure Gravy Chambers would deem it racist.

The entire State should adopt this.

Considering how incompetent the Louisiana DMV has proven to be, I wonder how many insured drivers will get bogus tickets.

As someone who lives in Iberville Parish and was in a wreck in which an uninsured driver hit me when she failed to yield.. I am all for this.

Been in two and the cocksuckers had no insurance.

I just hope they impound the cars.

You're giving them too much credit. How many uninsured drivers are NOT going to get tickets

it should, but we should do more to lower costs and let everyone who wants to drive, be able to...

I'm all for the cameras alerting the officers a vehicle is missing insurance so they can stop it and issue a criminal summons.

But issuing civil invoices is useless and will not deter uninsured motorists

And if an uninsured motorist is involved in a wreck their vehicle should be impounded immediately.

All of this.

If your insurance lapses your registration is cancelled therefore you are not just going to court for driving without insurance, you are going to court for driving on a suspended registration. It'll cost you around &1,000.00. and a day off work.

That's if you feel like paying it or "taking off of work".

Yall are forgetting that the people who don't have insurance don't pay tickets anyway. And now it's a civil ticket. Go ahead and try to collect that one
