You should at least state where you previously lived.
The trash thing is noticeable all over the South. There's some places like that up north as well. It boils down to lots of fat and trashy people with no self control and no respect for others.
Also some states and municipalities have more money to spend on cleaning up after their trashy people.

Compared to the rest of the country, LA is pretty trashy. From the trash on side of the roads, to the tall grass all over the place, they don't do a good job of keeping things up

I live in Lafayette right off Ridge Rd and see people just litter like it's no big deal every single day.. throwing shite out their cars.. So annoying.. not sure how people just do this..
Was outside a restaurant and this big ol country looking dude was getting into his truck and I thought he looked like a really genuine character.. then he proceeds to open his door after he had gotten in and just throws all his trash onto the ground.. very casually too.. and backs out and leaves.
I just don't understand how someone can be so inconsiderate.. I don't get it.. I am not better than anyone, but I couldn't bring myself to just intentionally litter like that.. especially at someone's place of business.

this is exactly what I mean about Blatant littering---It's so sad! Like they are too stupid to know any better! I have seen people litter and I picked it up and gave it back to them---one lady's mouth dropped open---it was hilarious!

Our dotd wastes too much money to afford to pay people to pick up trash.
Anti-littering laws are sparesely enforced.

prisoners should be picking it up, but honestly people shouldn't litter so much!!!

Everyday driving down Airline in Prairieville it amazes how tall the grass in the medians get. Then when they get around to cutting it they shred all the trash that was stuck in it and it gets left behind. Even the grass growing out of the concrete medians gets 3 ft high
They should have prisoners working daily

Well I was previously in the Military, so I've lived in a number of different states while doing that and went to college in New England. We're moving from Massachusetts. I'm actually a little surprised to have gotten as many responses that seem to agree with me on this. I'm just glad there seems to be more consciousness about it on this board than I've encountered since being back.

That's not nearly enough. They should be out there every week. Doesn't LA have the highest prison population per capita? (I may be making that up) Regardless put those frickers to work.

I don't notice that, but with such a high prison population the roadways should be cleaner. While they are at it, anyone on welfare can do trash duty on the weekends as well.

There's a lot of people in this state that are trashy. I saw a turtle pool with trash in it on a bridge today. Just embarrassing.
