Zero chance this happened. There are no large stretches of natural ecosystems left in Alabama. Say you are dropped right in the middle of the Talladega national forest; you would see signs of civilization within a few hours. She had to be doing something naughty.

My biggest question is what happened to her clothes. They said she was naked when they found her.

NW of Ft Payne can get pretty empty. I haven't read the article, does it say what part of the state she was in?

I learned that getting lost in the woods for 30 days turns you into Maya Rudolph.

I didn't click it, but even in NW AL, you will run into a fire break, or logging road. No way you get lost for 30 days.

You'd be surprised how easy it is to walk in circles over a relatively short distance

Looking at the after picture, there is no way her skin turned that color. She should be a more natural tan color with at least some red from the daily sunburn. Also, her skin should be peeling everywhere.

There is no way she was actually out there for 30 days.

That Hooters pic might be the worst pic I've seen of her. The pics they were showing on GMA she looked pretty cute. They also mentioned she's legally blind. That might have contributed to her being lost. Also, GMA said she lost nearly 50 lbs. That's a lot of weight in 30 days.

I could see that. These are the kind of details I was referring to in my previous post.

On the news last night they had pictures of her feet and legs. They were tore up. And plenty of bug bites.

I would like to see her track, or at least the area she was in. I like to go hiking/camping in remote places, where I don't see anybody else.

Has her GoFundMe return to civilization account been set up yet?

She looks like she turned into an aborigine in that second pic. Only difference is, an aborigine would have been picked up in Seattle after 30 days of walking...

she didn't want to be arrested means she wasn't lost.

I worked with a guy who said he came upon a camp site and a guy sitting on a log by a fire. Turned out to be Elvis, who asked him to keep quiet about it. I told him he was not being very quiet.

He said this happened in the Tuskegee National Forest about 20 years ago.

Anyone that can stay alive 30 days in Alabama wilderness has to be smart enough to find way out. It's not like she was lost in the Amazon or something.

I call BS. No way she's wandering around the woods for 30 days. I would imagine during that time she would've encountered a road, a building, or even people.

Impossible. You could walk for no more than a couple of hours without finding a fence or creek. Walk along that you will find a road or house.

If she was out there for 30 days, she is a tough arse woman. And she has probably been eaten alive by chiggers. My farm is in West central Alabama and I would not walk around without a good coat of deet this time of year. The chiggers will chew your balls off.
