From another LINK where she was reported missing:

quote:

Theris has a medical condition that requires daily medication, and she may need her prescription medication.

So who knows what her mental state was during the time she was missing. She could've become paranoid that people were after her and not actively tried to get out, especially if she ran from the two guys she was with who have since been arrested for burglary. I know one story said she told authorities that she was looking for people to help her, but who knows?

There is your answer. You have to be a special kind of stupid to get lost in the woods of Alabama.

I'm guessing there's more to this story.

Her basic story is that she was with those cats and they decided to burglarize someone's camp. She didn't want to be involved, so she left (I guess they were her ride.) She became disoriented and that's it.

Now, is it plausible? I guess so. Is there more to the story? Certainly. Probably some drugs, either taking the wrong ones or not taking the right ones.

My assumption I'd damn near bet 6 figures on is a psychotic break or prolonged manic phase.

Bitches be crazy.

Tip your Hooters girls. And don't be ashamed to leave them change off of broken dollar bills. Never know when they may need a pay phone or need to MacGyver themselves out of some shite with nickel and copper.

You have failed to mention that the two guys she was "camping" with before she was lost have been arrested for something.

that isn't relevant to her being lost for 30 days.

It's relevant if she had food/supplies for 3ppl for however many days at the outset. She could easily have been holed up somewhere for a week or two living off of "camping" supplies.

I will require more detail to properly make peanut gallery suppositions.

Seems pretty impossible, unless you are a druggie, which I assume she is.

A medical condition that requires daily attention, yet she went a month without the medication? Must have been something like ADHD.

That Hooters pic might be the worst pic I've seen of her. The pics they were showing on GMA she looked pretty cute. They also mentioned she's legally blind. That might have contributed to her being lost. Also, GMA said she lost nearly 50 lbs. That's a lot of weight in 30 days.

Couldn't you just follow the stream down to a larger water source or civilization? How long would that take?

Nakid and Afraid is 21 days.

I call BS on being lost for 30 days in the woods. No Way!

Bingo. I would be surprised if you can find a waterway in the southeast that goes more than 100 miles without coming to a roadway or some other form of civilization.

When I was in land navigation school I was surprised to that walking a straight line is actually harder than one may think. We tend to invariably gravitate to one direction when we walk. Given enough area, waking in circles is not uncommon

It's because one leg is always shorter than the other. Seriously.

We invariably slowly walk in the direction of the shorter leg, and the larger the difference in leg length is, the tighter the circle gets.

Alabama has the most trees per acre in the entire US. The forests are fairly large, and dense, in certain parts of the state. I could see her getting discouraged and deciding to save energy after walking for a day or 2, or staying put to create a shelter and try to find food/water.
