Why would someone from out of state want to attend LSU for an undergraduate degree?

He also neglects to mention the tens of millions of dollars that TAF has donated to the University in the past.

That's because he's a fricking idiot and doesn't know.

Parents went there.

Or they want to go into something that LSU offers unique opportunities for.

I think it was a stupid move that probably cost them money to get rid of legacy schollies

LSU has no problem building a 12 million dollar nutrition facility for athletes
Which will not cost LSU or Louisiana taxpayers a penny.

Is that not important?

nd absolutely none of that goes to lowering cost of attendance.

Wrong.

Most schools waive out of state when you get into the 30's on the ACT or at least have a legacy scholarship. LSU has neither
This is why I'm not at LSU yet. Tuition is pushing 30k a year even though I have 7 close family members who are alumni (both parents included). I'm saving my parents 50 grand by going to UCF for two years. As much as I love LSU and want to be there, I can't do it for 4 years. However, I don't think this athletic building has much to do with that.

LSU is getting quite a few TX kids as A&M and UTx have become decidedly more competitive in the last 10 to 15 years.

So I see you're not doing too well with this critical thinking stuff they teach in college...

Until august 95, many were here for the drinking age.

I met a gal in walk-through registration from Maine and one from Houston. Both were giddy like kids on Christmas b/c their parents didn't know our drinking age was 18.

Based on your post, I think the only thing LSU is clearly doing wrong is admitting dumbass students like yourself.

Not true. I was OOS and got a 30 on the ACT. Unless things have changed in the last few years, that'll get a HUGE chunk of tuition waived. They did discontinue the Legacy scholarship, however, which is a bummer. But an ACT over 30 will give you more of a discount than the Legacy would have anyway.

I asked F. King a few months ago if they were going to bring back the Bengal Legacy and he said they are planning on coming up with something similar but who knows if that was BS or not.

Comparing LSU to someone like Texas A&M

Texas A&M Non-resident tuition

LSU Tuition

Seems pretty even to me?
