re: Fruit flies since the flood....... Anyone else experiencing this? - Jblac15
Not so much the fruit flies but we've been dealing with big outdoor flies in general. These things are bigger than a typical fly, bluish-green in color, and come in swarms. They seem to gather on the dog turds in my back yard....

Rate your Insurance Company - Jblac15
With the recent events here in LA, insurance has become a popular topic. I thought it would be a good idea to hear what insurance company everyone is using, and what good/bad things you have to say about them. I am currently with State Farm for my 2 vehicles + Home. No issues in particular with...

re: The Great Flood of 2016: Fill Out Disaster Forms NOW. Link Inside! - Jblac15
Can anyone tell me who has the best video/picture coverage of everything over the last week? I cancelled DirecTV 2 weeks ago(genius...) and my internet/Cell signal went out over the weekend so we missed out on all the coverage. We had a HD antenna hooked up but it wouldn't pick up Channel 2 or 9 f...

re: Salmon Based Dog Food - Jblac15
Thanks for all the great info. I will do some research before we make the switch. He's been eating Iams Large Breed Puppy since we got him and this is the first time he's shown any type of allergy. It's time to switch him to an adult food anyway, so either way he will be getting new food after th...

Salmon Based Dog Food - Jblac15
Our big ole dog has been scratching and itching a lot over the last couple of weeks. We noticed this weekend that his armpits were red and inflamed. Wife brought him to the vet this morning and it turns out he has developed a skin allergy. The vet recommended that we put him on a Salmon-based dog...

re: PS Vue, LIVE Internet TV streaming | NFL Network and Redzone available - Jblac15
Signed up for Vue last night on their website without having one of the listed devices in the OP. I got on their website and signed up for a free trial. Logged into NBC Sports on my AppleTV using Vue Credentials and didn't run into any issues. Did I get lucky or was it a glitch?...

re: Say you were to "give up" and go with debt consolidation? - Jblac15
OP: If you are only reading the book and haven't actually taken the class, go to the class. If you have already taken the class then you should go through it again. Going to the actual classes on a weekly basis will surround you with people who are going through the same thing that you are battli...

re: Dog struck by lightning - Jblac15
There was a TV show back in the 90s that featured people who survived lightning strikes. One lady could barely walk before getting struck because of her bad back, after getting struck she was able to move around freely. The lightning may have zapped any health issues out of your dog and get yo...

re: Roth IRA investing: Should I just dump all 5500 of my contribution in VTI? - Jblac15
Not to hijack OP's thread but I believe this questions is relatable. I will be opening a Roth in the very near future also using Vanguard. How hard is it to change your investments once set up? Lets say I go in just using a Target Date fund and decide to change it up after educating myself on oth...

re: Learn me all about 4-wheelers - Jblac15
Yamaha probably has the strongest belt drive in the industry. I don't understand how people have so many issues with belt driven ATVs. I have owned a Kawasaki, Yamaha, and now a Polaris all with belt drives and have never had an issue. My Brute Force was snorkeled so the belt never got wet, but the ...

re: Moving down in Vehicle - Jblac15
I appreciate all the input. Odd's are, I won't actually do this but it's an idea I'm tossing around right now. I have the itch for a Jep and this would allow me to have a decent truck for the week, and a project/weekend cruiser. All without having any notes. I use my truck bed several times a ...

Moving down in Vehicle - Jblac15
I'm toying with the idea of trading my truck for something less expensive. I have a nice truck that is 3 years old and I just paid it off last month. It's worth somewhere in the neighborhood of 27k private sale, or 24k trade in. My thoughts are to sell it and get a decent truck to drive back and ...

re: Where can I get a piece of glass for tabletop? - Jblac15
Just did this last week actually for a desk I built... Babin's Glass in Gonzales cut me a piece of 1/4" glass that was roughly 30" x 48" for $55.00. It's not tempered but they did smooth the edges out and it looks great. I was afraid with it not being tempered but I accidently dropped a screwdr...

re: ATV riding locations - Jblac15
Tower Trax can be fun on a sport quad depending on how recently the trails were smoothed out. A group of us took our 450r's out there a couple years ago and had a blast because they had just dozed the "Blue Trail." But...if they haven't been dozed in a while I would stay away. Kisatchie Nationa...
they enforcing the 50" rule? been a while since I rode there. Im sitting at 53.5" wide
Yeah they are. Well...let me clarify. At the Claiborne Trails, they actually have the gates at trail entrances that are 50" wide, which blocks access to anything wider. At the Sandstone tr...
