What if you and your spouse adopted a child b/c you felt led to do so, and then after a few years gave it back?

So you want to return a child?

Yeah I see nothing wrong with that

There's been a few stories like this. There was one on 20/20 where a couple with two children of their own adopted two mentally disturbed girls and decided to unadopt them when they felt their own kids' safety was threatened. Very controversial.

Not an option. I am in the process of adopting a brother and sister. They just turned 1 & 2. To them, I am dad. My wife is mom. They are my kids. And my wife is now pregnant and due in October. Guess what, not giving them back. I will fight for them no matter what. If you can't make that commitment to that baby, adoption, or even parenthood may not be right for you at this time of your life.

What's the difference between that and having a baby a few years ago because you felt led to do so and now you want to give the child away?

I had no plan. It's a question. I know a family that did this and I laugh at them b/c they are so vocal about certain things that completely contradict what they say!

Pam: You know, she also said the waiting list is like eight months.
Michael: Eight months?
Pam: Yeah.
Michael: I don't even know if I'll want a baby in eight months.

I'm adopted met my bio mom turns out I was conceived by rape and she didn't want to bring me to term but her parents made her

the woman that raised me thinks I was cursed in the womb and that's why bad stuff happens to me

my om also told me I would never be loved and that's why my bio mom didn't want me

That's awful. Why would an adoptive mom ever say that a child she adopted would never be loved??? That makes me sad.
