Any good stories?

Looked like the biggest turnout ever. With BRB out, the Tickfaw River was a madhouse Saturday!

Yeah that sucked for them.

It's a great business idea, they'll be back before too long

How long did it take them to pull it up?

It's actually still there.

Owners have a crew with a barge and crane that are pulling it up in the morning.
To risky to attempt it with high winds and so much boat traffic Friday

We had a good time. Launched at wadesboro on the jet ski and took Ponchatoula creek to Natalbany then to prop stop. Tied up to a boat in a reserved spot and went in to prop stop long enough to grab a gallon of worm buckets for the boat. Drank 1 and headed across the lake to South Pass. It was rough on the jet ski, but we made it. Left the ski at the boat slip in manchac and went and picked it up today after a quick ride.

Put my boat in the water at 7am Saturday morning at the public launch by Boopaloo's to beat the crowds. We spent the day tied up to a camp across from the prop stop. Went over to the prop stop around 5ish and they were already saying the bar was closed and turned us away. Then had to wait for a ride back. Plenty of amazing powerboats That phantom boat is incredible. We heard the launch had over an hour long line to reload so we just anchored out and stayed the night on the boat.

We didn't even attempt it

We had to bring one of our passengers back that left their car there right after dark, it was a full blown traffic jam trying to get to the parking lot at Boopalu's

That all sounds so dangerous to me. It's been years since I've been out there and it sounds like it's hit even more crowded and with bigger boats from the pictures I've seen. Surprised that's not more accidents out there.

I avoided the public launch on Tickfaw and launched at Manchac. zero wait time.

some clown in a pontoon boat with several people tried to gun it coming into the lake and got swamped. Of course he popped right back up, but it got everyone on board wet and scared shitless.

Anyone know what happens up river and made the coast guard and wildlife and fisheries boats fly through the no wake zone by the prop stop? Must have been around 3 o'clock. I know the boats tied up to the dock were being beat together from the wake. The owners had to be pissed!

From what I understand it was a floating snowball stand. When I passed Saturday they had it towed up to the mouth of the natalbany river to get it out of the way.

Id love to know also. We was right in front of PS headed back to the camp and was almost run over by those boats hauling arse through there.

It's a smaller wake than you think.

I saw that too and it definitely wasn't for the food boat. We went back shortly after and saw nothing. I didn't hear of any accidents this year either. Definitely most boats I've ever seen.

Me neither.
I did hear of several damaged and broke down boats. Mostly lower unit issues from hitting debris
