Serious post here, no bullshite.

Go out to a field or some woods where there are hawks. If you see more than one hawk flying or up in the trees, you're fricked. Nothing you can do.

BUT IF YOU COME ACROSS ONE SINGLE HAWK IN THE AIR OR UP IN THE TREES, LOOK DIRECTLY AT IT AND SAY 'BEGONE." Your bad—well, I call it mojo—will fly off with the bird.

Go ahead, laugh. Then try when all else fails. You're welcome.

No, more questions. What did they mess with? You seriously can't expect me to just let this go.

Sounds like your old grandmothers maid may have been a Traiteur? In south La in the Cajun/Creole old days, there were people who practiced the old fashion medicine healings with herbs, roots, etc. Still got a few around today...

I have no clue what any of it was. She was always tying little pouches around my neck. And rubbing crap into my scalp. Would make my dad furious - but he would never fire her.
So, finding her "fixins" (that's what she called them) has me spooked.

I underestimated the native Louisianian belief in voodoo.

Have you had any strange experiences after she did this. If so, elaborate?

Ok, thanks, I am going to look this up. maybe that's it - sounds pretty harmless...

She did say she was from Louisiana. That's why I am hitting up S LA people for advice. she didn't have any actual relatives, just "sisters" from church. Have no clue how old she was, she would never say - we had no birthdate for her headstone... Weird, I know...

I had the same in my family. She spoke only French and we were her only family. We buried her in our family plot.

The old lady practicing or being a Traiteur sounds about right. There are some very old Cajun and creole people who still do this.

Nope, none. Perfectly normal. Well, now that I think about it, maybe too normal. I was rarely sick, no broken bones, accidents, or serious mishaps as a child. And I grew up in the country riding horses, climbing trees, etc. Never had an accident.
Crap.

Absolutely not. Different combinations give different results. As the new owner of her fixin's, you are not in inherent danger by possessing them. A person's death is not held against a non responsible bystander.

Now is a crucial time for you to learn what the different bottles, satchels, and vials contain, along with their uses. When a suitable teacher is located, take plenty of notes. There is a lot to learn.

There should be a small glass bottle with a fine, grayish powder in it. It is valuable beyond belief and almost irreplaceable. If your teacher tries to get the contents of this bottle then she is not suited to educate you. She is not there to help you.

Good luck.

red satchel, black leather cord, rose buds, soil from a fertile garden. put the soil and rose buds in the satchel, cinch it with the cord, wear said satchel. when you feel that things have changed for the better, take the satchel with cord and throw it in a moving body of water, then explain that you are thankful for the protection it offered. turn around and don't look back...

Vodoo works on people who think it's real, the power of your own mind can give you bad luck.
All you have to do is not believe in Voodoo and will have no effect on you.
