The young lady and her daughter(6 yrs old) live with the young lady's mother. The brother, who just got out on parole for child molestation now wants to move home with mom. Here's the catch...the 6 yr old is believed to be the child who got molested. Now, the young lady, who still loves her mother, is being forced out to make room for the child molester. How to advise?

For fricks sake. It's the mother's place? Then she decides who lives there. Obviously the child can't stay so it's either the young lady or the son. The son is likely barred from living with the kid anyway. Notwithstanding son might've molested kid already so I don't even see what the choice is here.

Is this just a troll? Please be trolling. You can't really be a cop.

I don't. It's a mental illness that's not curable at all unless there's some insane medical breakthrough in the future like a magic pill. IMO, child molestors should never be released from prison or a psych hospital.

I don't just support vigilantism as method to prevent something that may never happen on its own accord.

Would physical castration cure the sexual urges? Seems like it would.

That's where my conflict is....I'm advising someone to keep a girl away from her grandma because a POS is wrecking things for her.

If the grandmother makes the choice to allow the guy to move back that's kinda her fault, but the grandmother could always visit them at their house so the girl could know her grandmother.

How did he get convicted on a "belief"?

I don't doubt this at all. The court system is a joke.

Ever watch Dexter? You should. It would show you how to handle this guy.

I suggested that. I don't personally know the people myself but my wife has mutual friends with them. She's like I am....feel terrible for the little girl.

I have one in the family who spent time in prison. I'm still not sure how to deal with him.

Wife's uncle. She doesn't believe he did it, but the jury did.

No. It happened about 20 years ago. He spent about 13 years in prison. I didn't meet the guy until he got out.

Damn. That's tough. I would probably keep my kids away from that dude. Unless somebody showed me some exonerating evidence, I would assume the jury was right.

That's been my stance for 10 years. I'd like to get to know the guy. He was an engineer at Skunk Works in the 80s. But I can't make myself like him.

I don't know how things work where you're from, but here in California the suspect would have been given a stay-away order from the victim at the time of his conviction, along with his registration and genetic marking requirements he also would automatically have not only stay-away from the victim stipulations as part on his parole/probation but stay-away stipulations from all minors, so it would be a moot point as far as his parole agent would be concerned.
