How often did you go to office hours in college?

I have never been in an instructor's office but I have a good gpa.

Never, and I'm not a huge fan of the students that come to my office hours.
I still help as much as possible, and even look favorably on those that identify their problems and come for more instruction, but it's not necessary.

More than once, less than a dozen times.

Once to argue over a test score.
I won.
I won.

Every time they were open. My tuition paid for those office hours and I sure as shite used them to have my voice heard on everything that went on in the classroom.

i made it a point to go to office hours for every single upper level/graduate level class. At least once. If not regularly. Great way to improve your grades

i had a couple classes back in school that made me spend a lot of time in the professors office hours. Mainly computer code classes. did not make sense to me.

I've had a few teachers that didn't give back the test, just stuck the grades online. Those are typically the only teachers I went to see to look at my exam.
If it's anything else I typically make an appointment so that the teacher is prepared for my questions/ concerns when I come in.

None and I had a pretty good average all through school. However, looking back if I could do it over again I would spend more time in with the teacher in order to develop a rapport and relationship with some of them. One thing I've learned as a professional is that network is key to advancing yourself. You never know where a networking relationship will take your career. As a new grad, those type of relationship could've helped me secure employment a lot easier when I got laid off of my job one year after graduating.

Often. Had one professor add a couple of points back on tests if I brought it to him and explained my thought process and to see where I went wrong.

Is "office hours" the name of a bar?
Posted on 11/2/15 at 12:45 pm to GreatLakesTiger24
Less than 10 times and I'm a junior. I always try to figure things out on my own and ask around before going to the professor.
I probably should more often, but whatever

Went once. We had a semester long group project with four people per group...professor assigned groups. One guy did fricking NOTHING. After the first presentation, a girl and I decided we would split his work so we would have the requirements fulfilled. I went to the professor and told him of our situation. He basically told me tough shite. Dude made same grade we did in the class, B, and did absolutely nothing. Typing this out pisses me off 15 years later.

Not very often but I did have a few professors who would take the time to sit down and discuss things with you when the situation did arise. I also had some professors who were like trying to locate Noah's Ark during their office hours because they were never there or on a smoke break.

More than a couple, less than 10 I guess. Usually to turn in work early if I was going to miss class.
