Some people just don't have the life experiences to do this. I am one of those. I had to go out of my way to start learning how to do basic stuff like this. It just happens.

I used to do it for $300 including the mount and chasing the wires in the wall from behind the tv to eight inches from the floor.
Using swing out mounts too.
Quick easy money. Cost me only $35 in material and $40 in labor.

I almost forgot about those. That adds a little complication. But the only real difference is using tapcons instead of wood screws, and having to drill the holes.
Tapcons are not recommended for full motion mounts.

I get that, and I'm just being a bit sarcastic, it's no big deal to have someone do that for you, I've done it for three of my neighbors and when I get done with it and get back to the house my wife used to ask me why that couldn't figure that out, I'd reply "ah heck, he's a surgeon, or whatever,... he doesn't need that in his skill set right now"

You drill 4 holes into studs and hang it. It's nothing.

You can do it yourself.
Seriously, go to Home Depot, buy an infrared stud finder, get the mounting bracket for your size TV and let 'er rip. The stud finder is key and it will cost you less than $30. It will not only tell you where you have either wood or metal studs behind your drywall but the better ones will tell you where you have wires in your wall. It takes all the guessing out of where to drill through your drywall.
I've installed several 60" flat TVs in various rooms in my house and I'm not very mechanically talented.

Has yours gotten out of the box or are you still in the analysis stage?

Not that big of a deal. I just installed one on a rock chimney this past weekend. The only thing is that the kit didn't include the type of anchors for rock chimneys. So I had to make a trip to the hardware store to pickup a 2 pack of Toggler straps and a couple longer bolts. Drill a 1/2 hole, insert Toggler, slide the retainer down to secure toggler and insert screw thru bracket and into toggler.
Will hold up to 250 lbs.
