Just return the TV. You don't deserve it if you can't mount it yourself

really?
what kind of wimp can't drill a couple of holes, center it up and mount the tv?
ETA: figured it out, the stud finder eluded him

Having just mounted mine this past weekend, I can tell you it greatly depends on the wall. Is it simply a stud-construction with drywall?
Only reason I'm asking he question. It's feels like it's just a thin piece of wood. I knocked and I do t think it has studs to screw into.

double check, some walls are built without studs

It will cost a lot less than your sex change will.

If it's 1/2" plywood you should be fine. Even if there aren't studs you can use toggle bolts like these. Forms a metal to metal connection through the wall. For a light TV and mount they are fine. I wouldn't use them with an articulating mount.
ETA: Just saw that you want the TV to pull out and tilt. You definitely want to secure that to more than just drywall. Check it with a stud finder.

He said he wants a full motion mount. Don't use those.

Geek Squad prices are $130 to $200. I am NOT recommending them but at least it gives you an idea.

It's like a piece of plywood that forrms the back of the cubby hole.
If that dd not make you smile then you need to call an installer.

It's a place where everyone can come together and mock someone for not doing their own handiwork, then turn around in another thread mock someone for not being enough of a baller to pay people to do menial work for you.
It's a fine line between the two... like walking a tight rope.

Example for me with this is that it's not worth it to change my own oil. It's just too easy to get a coupon online and have someone do it for pretty close to the same price and not much longer. Changing brake pads? There is no way that I'm paying anyone $100+ to do that when I can do it for like 1/5 that price in a half hour instead of giving them my vehicle for half a day.

Curious, but what residential walls are built without studs? What's the purpose?
Posted on 9/18/17 at 8:02 pm to Passing Wind
Some interior brick walls. I had an 8 page thread on the topic of mounting a full motion TV mount on this wall last week.

Even if it's a partition wall with metal studs, it's still just as easy.

Go to Best Buy and buy the TV mount. Ask them to send a TV Geek MAN to your house and screw the TV mount to the wall.

I almost forgot about those. That adds a little complication. But the only real difference is using tapcons instead of wood screws, and having to drill the holes.
