All in, labor (someone to do it right with a reputation to uphold...not a HomeDepot pickup) and materials (need one of those that let's you pull the TV out from a recessed cubby hole, tilt, etc).

How much will this set me back? $200? $300?

I'm in Houston FWIW.

A lot depends on if there is an electrical outlet in place and if holes have to be cut and wires fished.

This might be the only time in OT history that you can say 350 and it actually be close to correct.

The price of the mount and 10 min of your time?

Who would pick up someone from Home Depot for this?

Having just mounted mine this past weekend, I can tell you it greatly depends on the wall. Is it simply a stud-construction with drywall?

Ask your mom. She knows the going rate for getting mounted.

I love the OT. It's a place where everyone can come together and mock someone for not doing their own handiwork, then turn around in another thread and mock someone for not being enough of a baller to pay people to do menial work for you.

I can send someone to you any day you want who would do it for $100 and he'll have it done in less than an hour. It would have to be after 5:00 because he would be coming from his real job.

Outlets are all there. My only concern with doing it myself is that I'm not sure if there are studs in the back wall. It's like a piece of plywood that forrms the back of the cubby hole.

When it crashes on the homeowners children, he's on his own though, right?
