Funny this thread popped up. My wife and I had a big arse fight about this last night. I take care of the yard, take out the trash, dishes on occasion, laundry on occasion. But as of last night I only take care of the yard bc I don't get any credit for anything inside anyway, so frick it.

We pretty much split it. Typically, I take out the trash. She does the floors. If I cook she washes dishes, if she cooks I wash dishes. I wash and dry the clothes, she folds them. There are no outside chores for us to do.

He does laundry and cleans if I'm sick ... Other than that he helps to put food away after dinner and I actually clean and he does the yark work (son helps with this). Kids take out the trash. Can't complain. I work part time and he's way more than 40 hrs.

I do the dishes and most of the outside stuff. I'm looking forward to the day the kids take over all the chores.....my 6 year old already mows most of the grass and doesn't miss a spot.

I swam with the kids, made them take baths, then fixed their plates this afternoon. I even loaded the dishwasher. She cooked dinner and has been washing clothes all evening.

Does that make you feel any better?

Wife takes care of most everything inside except cooking. BWe trade off cleaning the kitchen after dinner vs cooking dinner

We have twin 4 month olds and a 3 year old. We both do what we can to survive. I do the outside stuff, we both do inside stuff, and we both take care of the kids. I'll take little man,and she deals with the girls more than me.

I do the yard and the trash. And sometimes the dishes after dinner if she's cooked. I'll also help fold laundry but I never do that alone. I iron my dress shirts for work but that's just because she sucks at it. Tonight I had to put sheets on our bed and my sons bed. She had washed and dried both sets but had somewhere to be so I threw them on. All of the vacuuming, mopping, bathrooms and kitchen cleaning, feeding the kids during the day, changing shitty diapers all day, and having a hot meal ready when I get home means I don't mind helping out at all. I sometimes enjoy just cleaning the dishes in peace if the kids are playing in another room.

i honestly do about 90% and all yard work. I'm sort of a neat freak and my wife......well, she's not (to put it nicely).

but i actually don't mind it....oddly i find cleaning stuff calming and relaxing

I do most all of it. Outside and in. She will cook every now and then and wash clothes once in while.

I enjoy it, though, and she deserves it. She makes about 3 times what I was making when I worked full time (and I made a pretty nice salary). This has allowed me to semi-retire and do other things I enjoy.
