Twice because my gas gauge is a piece and said I still had somewhere around 1/4 of a tank. Then I learned to go by my mileage instead of the gauge.

Never...how dumb do you have to be to do that?

Once. Never again.
It was over 13 years ago when I was making minimum wage. It was on that bridge right before Laplace exit on I-10. I knew I was low but just tried to push it.

My truck runs out randomly, so 3. Once it died with 35mi, once with 15mi, and once with 65mi, all above the red slightly. Spent 2hrs getting it running again and then had to replace fuel filters. It is a bitch. Only vehicle that has ever happened in
I don't let it go below 100mi left now

Once I legit ran out and had to call someone, the other I coasted in to the gas station so that doesn't really count. Both happened when 16, wouldn't happen again now.

Once. It was how I figured out the gauge in my wife's old suv was bad

I've never ran out but I get pretty low. Most recently my all time low was 0 miles to E and I made it to the gas station without any problems. Before that I've gone as low as 2 and 3 miles to E.

exactly zero times...........because im not a complete fricking moron.
Damn near every car on the road these days will tell you when the MFer is getting low....................running out of gas is unacceptable in my household.

3 times for me. Once it was in a 300ZX that literally had a voice that told you, "Fuel level is low."
Another time was on the way to UNO via Poland Ave. I ran out of gas about a mile before the projects. If It had happened 1 mile later I would have been a dead cracker.

Never.
I am glad my car doesn't tell me "how many miles till empty." I would probably be more likely to push the limit. Now I just fill up whenever I get to a quarter of a tank left. Never had a problem.
