Once when I was 16 I ran out a block from my house. Ran home and got the lawn mower can

Ran out twice in my younger days, both times I new I was low, but forgot, I've always had horrible short term memory, probably ADD, I zone out way too easily

You realize fuel gauges go bad? When my 19 gallon tank is at 1/4 tank it's safe to say I can make it 4 miles down the street. Which is exactly how far I was from the house.

When I was a teenager, I had an old truck without a working fuel gauge. I ran out a lot.

Once in my old Jeep. Fuel gauge was broke. Luckily I had some bros with me. We just pushed that biatch to the gas station. Learned my lesson though and carried around a can after that.

Four. Y'all are some high society people if you've never had to drive beater vehicles that didn't have a working fuel gauge or a working odometer.

Never, but I've come damn close a couple of times.

Closest was one morning where I had about an hour sleep and then got up to drive to Franklinton for a 3am concrete pour. Realized about halfway between Amite and Franklinton that I'd forgotten to get gas. I put 14.495 gallons of gas into a 14.5 gallon gas tank once I got there.

Mine starts making noise at 50mi. That doesn't mean anything when I am sitting on the side of the highway with the thing reading 65mi to empty

People don't run out of gas because they forget to look at the gauge. Gauges break sometimes. In my case, I knew it was low but I was just really, really, really, really poor at the time and tried to push the limits. I lost.

Technically zero. But once in highschool i was hungover as hell (actually still drunk) and on my way to work, but noticed i was running dangerously low on gas. i was so out of it that i went in the station gave the girl 20 bucks for fuel and without pumping got back in my car and drove away. For some odd reason i looked down at my fuel gauge like 15 minutes later and noticed i had 0 miles to empty and was on Earhart Expwy. I somehow made it back to a station and this time i pumped. One of the more idiotic things ive done. very shitty day
