I bet there is a lot of trash in your family and that you are friends with.

I can assure you that I drive significantly better than sober between .08 and .16. Above .16 I don't drive so well, but there have only been a couple of those and they were long ago in a galaxy far far away.

Perhaps countless, and maybe as recently as St Paddys day.

The only time I took a field sobriety test I failed; followed up with the breathalyzer and was only 0.05%. They let me drive home, no issues.

I drink. I drive. I make it home.

They are designed to make you fail. Nobody passes. Refuse everything's and say you want a lawyer. They may still take you to jail but you will get out of it if you get a lawyer

Did it almost every day of my life from 16 to 22. Got a DUI at 22 and still did it a few times until I actually went to court at which point reality set in and I cut that shite out.

I would lose my job now so it is not worth the risk.

Maybe barely over once in the last 10 years on a paved road. At my fishing hole in rural South Georgia I have driven pretty drunk on the dirt roads back by the cabin but it is waaaay off in the woods.

Before age 25....at least 40 times. Never pulled over once. I was lucky. Many of my friends were not. I will not drive within an hour of a second beer now. Up to six beers and I count an hour for every beer I had and that clock starts after the 3rd beer. So I wait 6 hours after the 3rd beer. Anything over 6 and I have accommodations already planned and will not drive for at least 6-8 hours after the last beer.

I learned that the next day from my ex-cop friends. I could not do half the tricks sober....the beer was not why I failed.

How many times

It was in the thousands when I stopped trying to do the math.

Scary stuff actually.

"How many days did I drink during the week? How often would I drive to the store/bar/etc?
Multiplied by weeks in month then year times number of years"

Mind-boggling

Too many times. There was a time when I used to drink Cuervo on the rocks when bar hopping.
God was with me ,no dwi's or wrecks over the years.

Easily a few thousand. Can't even begin to put a number on it though. Don't do it anymore because of Uber and Lyft. If they weren't available, I would still be doing it.

Goes to show you how good they are for society. Just imagine how many people they have stopped from D&D'ing

I find it interesting that Uber has had no statistical effect on drunk driving. The only times I've done it (not in a long time) were when I was stuck. Now, unless surg pricing is going to be a bitch, I rarely ever drive if I plan on drinking at all.

It's just not worth the risk.

It hasn't been around long enough for the effects to show. I would imagine that Uber and Lyft are more effective in lowering the 21-30 crowd DUIs more so than those that are older.
