1-2 max. One of those two times I drove maybe 50 yards to get back home.

I have terrible eyesight
that night I was wearing contacts but with those I have to wear reading glasses which I had pushed up on my forehead while driving

before I got out I pushed them down on to my nose
no idea if that helped or not

In my younger years, there were times when it was easier for me to drive than to walk upright.

For about ten years or so, I won't drink more than two beers or so if I know I'm driving. No more than one drink per hour. And food.

Usually, people decide to stop once they've had kids.

People with kids who drive drunk, .....now those people are lower than scum.

I'm 58. I don't drink anymore but back in the 70s and early 80s we would drive shite faced drunk. We were young and dumb and didn't know any better nor care. I was pulled over on several occasions and the cops would only say go on home or on one occasion followed me home. Yep times have changed and if you drive drunk you are scum.

I'm reformed scum

179. Today after the baseball game. What did I win?

My son dents my can for me when getting a beer from my cooler in the back seat. Parenting Skills on point.

literally hundreds.

As have most people, considering .08 is a joke that doesn't really tell impairment.

Yeah, I'm sure it's hundreds for me, and I stopped driving when drinking pretty early on. I probably haven't driven significantly impaired in a decade.

But even these days, and despite being pretty paranoid about it, I wouldn't be surprised if it still happens 1-2 times a year. Not that I knowingly do it, but when you drink a few, wait a couple hours and feel totally normal, I have no idea what my BAC is.

Too many, my only scare is time I was leaving and it was raining. Ended up fish tailing when I hit a puddle and going in the median. Lucky I was able to get my car back on the road, pulled off at the next stop and had so done come get me.

That scared me so I take Uber more now than I did before

that's certainly the same for me
I've never blown on a breathalyzer in my life so I don't have a clue what my BAC is in various stages of consumption

I'd never try to drive if I was truly impaired
I have too much to lose

I had one once. I blew over a 0.8 after using mouthwash. Had a co-worker blow over a 2 the day after a bender at a casino.

I imagine everyone knows a couple people who for whatever reason, always get the urge to drive places when drunk.

I've always been very appreciative that I don't have whatever it is that leads people to do that.
