its beyond our comprehension i think of life and death. very sobering no matter who the person is.
for me, I know we're spiritual beings in a physical body, and our home is not in this dimension, even so, the loss is as real as it gets
glad u r ok
u got family? I think that helps...

want to babysit two a-hole kids on friday?
Can my adult niece do it?
I've been threatening my wife with adopting since the baby went to college, this might break me of that.

Only 1 time, because I was ignorant and curious.Since that 1 time, and learning to know that it is going to happen. I try to turn away and give privacy.

My 24 yr old wife when she lost her battle with Leukemia.
Her family and I were on a rotation of who would stay at the hospital with her each night. It was a Monday and was her Mom's turn to stay that night but something told me I needed to be there so I went straight there after work. She was coherent enough to recognize me when I got there and even asked me why I was there because it wasn't my night. Shortly after she slipped into unconsciousness. The aggressive chemo and radiation therapy was not working and the doctors had told us and her that there was nothing more they could do but make her as comfortable as possible so we had a DNR. Her Mom and I watched as she took her last breaths.
Definitely something I never hope to see again.

One , first born son, lived a week in the NICU. The moment haunts me still almost 14 years later.

It's ok to mourn the passing for a while... Soon after though, it's important to celebrate (her) life...
Not everyone 'gets to' feel the pain of the passing of their mother, father, etc... It just means you two were close...

My dad in the hospital July 2 2012 with my brother, uncle, and cousins. Seemed like time stood still. The rest of the family could not bare to be in there but there was nowhere else I would rather have been but to be with him when he passed

One. I insisted on being there for it. Never again, voluntarily anyway.
