How many people have you watched them take their last breath?

had a first for me, to be honest i could have done without, and this was about as "ideal" of a scenario as there is for whatever that's worth.

One. My grandfather.

Saw a kid who had drowned get pulled out of one of our lakes by rescue squad divers. That wasn't pleasant.

Sorry, man.

It's a helluva thing. It doesn't seem to matter where or when.

My mom was under hospice as well. Diagnosed with Colon cancer about 8 weeks before. Obviously it was super aggressive. She was only 46. Scary stuff.

Both had lived full lives so it wasn't like a tragedy. They were sad moments but I'm kinda honored to have been there.

One. Guy's family in ICU next to my grandmaw pulled the plug on him. There were about 15 people in the room, and I guess they stopped doing something because he was dead within a couple of minutes of them saying goodbye. Weird thing to watch

My mom and my Dad...both terminal illnesses and more of relief that they had finally passed (both were not well for quite a while).

But the weirdest one was a runner I came across while driving through a park--he had evidently had a heart attack and by the time I got there and was giving him CPR he was gone already. Did it till the paramedics showed up.

I dunno why you wanna go there.

I recently took Mom home from the nursing home, I was rested up and she wanted to go home. I signed up for hospice care, and I only had her home for 10 days and she passed, with me by her side...I loved takin' care of Mom and I miss her real bad. Hospice workers said I took real good care of her.

It cut right thru me to look at that blank stare the last cpl days...

laid her to rest jan 28th, it's gonna take a while to get thru the process

one, Mom
