I guess this is the appropriate board for this topic...

I'm a huge fan, started listening over 2 years ago. I'm all over the place with my tastes, from sci-fi, non-fiction, sports, economics, to just plain old mystery.

My 2 favorite audiobooks are Replay by Ken Grimwood & Moneyball. I'm a big fan of Scott Brick as a narrator.

So, any recommendations for audiobooks or audiobook series?

Anything read by George Guidall.

The dark tower series from Stephen king. The Mitch rapp books by Vince Flynn. The Odd Thomas books. That should keep you busy for awhile.

Thanks, I've listened to The Alienist narrated by Guidall, and enjoyed it. And the only Stephen King book I've listened to thus far is 11-22-63. I've heard the Dark Tower series is great.

Just finished the Millennium series (girl with dragon tattoo books) read by Simon Vance and it was great. Would recommend to anyone.

I love it. I have an hour drive to and from work, and also listen while at work, really makes the days a lot more enjoyable.

All of my listening is while I run. Sometimes I'll get lost in the book and end up running for several miles longer than I planned. Helps me a lot Bc I used to get board running

TD ballers only read leather bound books with archival paper.

Victor Bevine does a good job with the Drizzt Dourden books.

The narrarator for the red rising series was good as well.

Oh, I failed to mention, I actually get the narrator to read the book to me in person. That's how true OT ballers roll.

Wil Wheaton is a great narrator and has done some awesome books.

Ready Player One is a fun one.
The Martian is a good audiobook.
The Locke Lamora audiobooks are well done as well.

I think I actually have these queued, and I've listened to the first Red Rising book, and can't forget to listen to the rest. The first one was great.

If you like audiobooks check out the long-locked but (old times there are) not forgotten Old Time Radio thread

The shows I recommend in that thread (all available for free download/streaming at archive.org) are like audio-only versions of The Twilight Zone or Alfred Hitchcock Presents. If you like those shows, give radio series like Dimension X/X Minus 1 or Suspense a shot.

Shows like Suspense an X Minus 1 are perfect to fall asleep to

I'm not really into audio books, but some times I wish that the hot chick from myth busters would do porn. I'd really like to see her naked.

Really enjoyed the Codex Alera series by Jim Butcher. His dresden files series is dope too. GOing back through the Wheel of time to finish off w/ the last book finally. Been putting it off since it came out :( :( :(

I drive a lot for my work. 2 hours daily. Sometimes as many as 7-8 hours a day on trips to larger cities and I get to listen to headphones all day while I work. I use the Scribd app. "Read" a lot about American history and philosophy. Almost strictly non fiction. Not that I'm opposed to fiction....I just don't prefer it.
