I've only seen two episodes... Both went exactly like that.

Could do it. Only two survival items that are plausible imho is a machete (or =) and a fire starter. IF they gave a third there are a multiple of good choices - duct tape, mosquito net, tarp.

But yep, think i could do it.

They have given a third item on some episodes. Usually a fire starter.

Machete, fire starter, pot. That's what I would want. Rope and duct tape would be next.

On alone, they get ten items (a good selection of stuff too, like a pot, bow/arrows, fishing line/hooks, machete, axe, tarps, fire starter, emergency rations, etc.) and it still seems like absolute hell.

If I got on there and my partner showed up with a fricking magnifying glass, I'd be so absolutely pissed. That was the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen someone pick.

They actually used it, but only because they were too stupid to start a fire.

you wouldn't last 2 nights in the marsh south of Hopedale with all the deer flies and mosquitoes sucking every last bit of blood you have left in your body.

Anyone else that thinks they can do this is full of shite.

It's horrendously fake during some scenes, specifically during the night. Almost every other episode they would have a "scare" at night when an animal like a hyena, alligator, or puma would sneak near their camp. They would then grab a fake night vision camera (you could tell it was still daylight) and they would "chase" an animal or see glowing eyes. It never amounted to anything.

That being said depending on the location I'd probably last between 12-24 hours. The locations where it's constantly raining or filled with mosquitoes, I'd last maybe 2 hours.

Most here are disqualified. Louisiana is pretty much nothing but pussies. Maybe just one huge arse pussy.

Amen. I laughed reading this thread.

The answer is zero. None. Nada. I would be willing to bet my house on it. These people haven't spent one night in their entire life naked and in these circumstances. Not an hour. But they think they could make 21 days?

Bwahahahahahahahaha....

It depends on the talent of my partner. If she cooks, cleans, finds food/water, builds fire and likes to frick - I'm staying for a few days.

I wouldn't make it through the first night any of the places they have gone.

I've never actually seen any of these show, but I feel fairly confident in saying that No, I would not be able to handle these types of situations.

I saw that last night. You know it's pretty serious when the Ninja black dude, Hakeem, who made it 21 days in his first show, tapped out on day 3.

I was a little concerned for the two guys with him. He tapped out due to dehydration and they didn't seem to have any sense of urgency to get themselves some water.

I thought the exact same thing. I figured one of them was going to immediately go find water, but they just kept building their shelter. Unlike that jackass who grew up in a psych ward that climbed up the tree to get mangos for the chicks, and fell out of it.

I would act all tough at first. Then I'd get hungry and irrational. Then I'd leave for sure.

After watching these shows and seeing the people that tap out due to the bugs, I'm surprised nobody has brought a bug net as one of their items. It might be hell making fire, but shite on getting eaten by bugs at night.
