How many OT'ers could handle Naked & Afraid, or The Island type survival?

Not this fella here, only slept in a tent once and was awake all night waiting for my death by wild animal.

I think the bugs (especially if mosquitoes were prevalent) would drive me crazy and make me quit.

Eliminate that factor, and I think I'd have a chance.

I wouldn't make it through the first night any of the places they have gone.

I just don't see the point of it. I'm not a thrill seeker like that

Island/beach location with a constant breeze keeping mosquitos at bay is the easiest.

I get the impression that Naked and Afraid is little too staged. I'd probably make it a day or two just benefiting from the other person's survival skills, if the bugs weren't going nuts (the one I watched last night with that woman covered in bites, hell no). That "Alone" show, though... not even a day.

Brother on the Island had 15 pounds of feces pulled out his butt. It was impacted with crab shells etc..

That is what I think as well, but still the sun and heat would be killer.

My feet are really sensitive. I would struggle in a lot of terrains, but given the right draw, I guess it's possible. I feel like I have pretty good survival instincts. I'd still say probably not.

Alone seems like the real deal. Once I saw a bear I'd be gone.

I'm surprised by how few of them have even tried to make sandals/shoes.

The best way to survive in any of those situations is to work from sunrise to about 9-10am, rest/nap from 9-10am until 5pm and work from 5pm until sunset.

Repeat.
