I just completed jury duty in ohio and loved it. I realize every place is different but the hours were 10:30-2:30 with an hour an half lunch. And when we first reported they asked who didn't want to be there and the 5 people who raised their hands got excused

I got on grand jury several years ago.

We just sat around a table deciding what cases went to trial, ate snacks, took smoke breaks and the foreman had lots of stories to tell.

Plus I made a few bucks and my job had to pay me anyway.

It was pretty great, actually.

Don’t ask me. I’ve been called about 6 or 7 times. In EBR they will let you postpone it for some reasons but they never forget. Have her call and ask.

I'm not a juror. I'm a traveler

Seriously, a sovereign rights person trying to talk their way out of jury duty would be so funny

Years ago I got out the Kerry Meyers murder trial in gretna because I showed up for jd wearing a t shirt from the same playground where the two accused played softball..... as soon as asst DA saw me he walked me up to judge and defense counsel and sent me on my way.... it was an accident - I did not know that was the trial.

When they ask her name in court just have her say "he's guilty."

Doctor’s note. Seriously. I’ve got a buddy who’s an MD. He’ll write me an excuse for anything, sight unseen. I’d suggest getting with a doctor—or even a nurse practitioner—and sending that note to the court on the scheduled day.

Yeah, I'm not sure how long some of these judges would let them go on, but I'm sure it would be entertaining for a little while.
I can't imagine being locked up in a small room with one of them. There might be another trial after that one with me on the other side of the jury box.
