How does Apple get away with talking to their customers like they do?

Sitting in here looking around and these employees treat the customers like trash. No please, no thank you, no welcome or anything at all. They tell them to step aside or get out the way, goddamn man.

Where are you? I live in NYC, and recently had to have my screen replaced. I was mesmerized being in the store. It was some of the best customer service I had ever seen. Especially for how busy they were.

Opposite of my Apple experiences. Always very nice, and I have had random free things given to me twice now. (A new chord for my macbook pro when I was 3 years out of warranty and a free repair on my screen when I cracked it, also out of warranty). I love their customer service.

They only treat people who understand technology this way. The vast majority are clueless and are able to be "bullshitted" to. With a smile on their face of course.
But, as soon as you ask "where are the actual files saved when I import pictures" (or some other basic question, they see you have questioned them and get defensive.
