Bye-you.

I could be wrong, maybe it's a regional kind of thing, but whenever I hear it pronounced "bye-oh" it just sounds tryhard as frick to me.

I just start with a "B" sound and make a noise. I don't think it is ever the same.

Anyone who isn't a Cajun should say Bi-you or be shamed in public.

From somewhere SW of Lafayette? Say it however the frick you want. It's your word.

By-you for me, but my grandmother always said byah. I don't know if that was an old school pronunciation. We all lived in the same place, so I didn't see as regional.

While it is an acceptable alternate pronunciation, I've only heard Hank, Sr. and "tryhard" (your word) sportscasters pronounce it that way. No native Louisiana folks say it that way, AFAIK.
