its built for some particular person.

no one else would want it for that much money unless they get the mineral/O&G rights on that 56 acres.

it can be the bunk house for the wild catters

Baton Rouge and New Orleans have to be two of the most overpriced real estate markets in the country.

I really don't get it. It can't be the "Katrina effect", that's been over 10 years now. Rent, especially, in BR is confoundingly high.

You pay a premium to live away from you know who, at least in BR. In Nola, you pay to live on a block where you won't get shot.

Wth. That is one of the weirdest looking houses I've ever seen is the back astonishingly beautiful so you can try to convert it to the "front"?

You could splurge and go up to $2M to live in Vancouver, BC

or $2M to live in Bellevue, WA. At least this one has a nice yard

I would agree except for the outdoor kitchen/patio i thought was nice. It just looks like they went cheap on so much and trashy with the rest.

I like the little balcony that overlooks the picturesque driveway

A realtor will change it to read:

"Quaint balcony overlooks expansive and open welcoming area"

For that kind of money they could've easily done some nicer garage doors and/or exterior stone and got a much better curb appeal. Something like this.
