Don't they still have the safe spaces where you can legally abandon your children? It used to be fire stations, hospitals, and a few other places.

Depends on the state, but in LA the kid has to be 60 days old or younger

This is dumb. She could have dropped kid off at Fire station etc. and not have been charged child endangerment.

I've heard of women, mostly very young, adult women (late teens maybe) doing this at hospitals years ago. I try not to be judgmental in cases like that. I get that a very young mother could be scared about being able to take care of a baby or toddler, especially if the home situation was dangerous. That is, if they are honestly trying to find a safe place to take the baby/child to be cared for. But, situations like this one are infuriating.

You are so right. Once we embrace this thought, the world will launch into a new nirvana.
The pure weight of the poor reproducing at will holds us back as a species.
I am not condoning abortion or any kind of genocide, however why should someone be able to reproduce if they cannot support that off-spring.

Know a couple who jumped thru 55 hoops, would of spent a shite load of money to adopt a local child. While it was easy and a lot cheaper to adopt an asian girl, so they did.
