Quite true. I just don't think there is enough of a ballistic advantage for me to pick the 6.5x55 over a 260 Rem when factoring in ammo availability and rifle resale value. If I really wanted or needed the extra velocity in a 6.5mm I'd jump up to a 6.5-284 or 264 win mag....

Ballistically, the 260 Rem will essentially duplicate the Swede but in a much more readily available (in the US) cartridge....
