adoption fees are fricking sinful.

Not if you adopt through the state. We finalize our son's adoption soon and we haven't had to pay a dime for legal fees, healthcare, or daycare. Our only out of pocket costs are for the basic care of our son, which is mostly offset by our monthly foster stipend.

If you go private, then yes be prepared to shell out some serious dough.

I love my black women but BRUH! If you're not willing to take responsibility for the kid/child, then don't carelessly open your legs letting anyone just make a deposit! And don't mess that kids life up because of your screw up! Give him to adoption or something, or better yet, keep your legs closed.

If they ever do find out who this woman is, not only should they throw her in jail and fine her, they should ban her from ever seeing her child (regardless of age) ever again.

well the kid has a lot more to deal with than getting dropped off on the wrong door step one night when he was young.

his only chance is if he goes by Roy.

Nah, it's never a good idea to ask a hooker to drop off the kids.

Dude. Just because you don't remember neglect, that doesn't mean it won't deeply effect your psyche. If a child was not touched for the first two years of his life, he wouldn't remember that time, but he would be psychologically destroyed.

shite. Considering you have moms stabbing their babies and putting them in ovens, seems like this one got off easy. Sad world when that's the attitude, but there it is.
Every ER and Fire Station is a safe drop off for unwanted infants. no questions asked (other than, "you sure?" and "child's name?") and no penalties. ETA: within Texas

Children can experience life altering trauma in the womb. Doesn't matter if you remember it or not.

Authorities in Texas are seeking the public’s help to identify a woman who left a 2-year-old child on a doorstep.

From the article the mom was in the hospital. She gave her kid to this "adult" who was supposed to drop the kid off at the dad's house. Dad wasn't home, so she just left the kid at a neighbor's house

They need help identifying her? Why don’t you ask the fricking mom who knows the woman. Bunch of Einsteins.

I think you should update the title OP, lots of people are reading the original story without reading the update and posting based on that.

ETA: Cliff Notes:

-Mom is hospitalized, asks random chick to watch her son.
-Random chick is tasked with dropping son off at his dad’s house
-Random chick goes to wrong house (next door neighbor), knocks on the door. No answer, so random chick just leaves son on door step.
-Neighbors take child and call the authorities.
-Dad assumes “plans have changed”, so he leaves the house not knowing his son is with neighbors.

Lots of fail all around.

They should stand around the child and start doing the "suck that tiger dick, bitch" chant. It's not bad for the kid. And even if it is, the kid shouldn't be there.

and it's going to mess him up for life

I do not think this will mess him up for life. It sounded like the mother was in the hospital. This was a friend of the mother. She was supposed to drop the child off at his father’s house. Father was not home. She abandoned the child at the house next door to where the father lived. Not the same as a mother abandoning a child.
