I may head out in a bit if it eases up and try to get pics of White Oak. It's way out though by Heights, that's right by where the dude was drowning and got saved by the TV reporter.

Memorial by the bayou was okay. Would not want to drive a non-SUV or truck down Gray.

Downtown is fine

Even if it's safe to go over Houston Ave, Heights, and Studewood I'm going to pretend it's not just so I don't have to go in.

I'm guessing the closure of the Yale St bridge at I10 didn't happen this morning

Lovely red dress today too.

Saw her in person once. She looks better.

Wow, crazy event. I fugured trouble was brewing last night when storms started firing along that boundary that was sagging across Houston. I never would've bet on these kinds of totals.

Lake Travis in Austin was quite low; to the tune of 60 feet down. Last week it was back at full pool, roughly 7 years ahead of expectations on when it would happen again.

We had a researcher from a state agency come to our office and give a talk on his research. He claimed that Texas was entering a permanent state of drought and that lakes may never return to past levels. Needless to say, I had a hard time taking him seriously.

I drove from Ft. Worth to Houston last night. There was about 10 ft visability the entire ride.

I live in River Oaks and work in Channelview so I'm staying home for a bit.

Nature did a reset of this area. But you have to pay with flooding.

I think around 1. It just stayed over NW houston though. It didn't move until about an hour or so ago.
