Seems like a major flood is becoming a semi-annual occurrence. Local news crews creaming themselves over coverage.
This storm is bad though, 16 inches overnight in some areas to the west of town and it's still moving through.

I love when it floods and the news stations cut to some jamoke dressed like the guy on the Gorton's fish package. And he's standing knee-deep in flood water saying "as you can see, the water is already up to my knees!"

That sucks man, best wishes.
The field reporters are ridiculous. I keep waiting for one of em to get cracked in the head by flying debris on a live shot.
Edit: the dude on KHOU in Houston just did the "the water is to my knees" bit. Right on cue

In case you haven't heard them say it once out of the 80 times in the last 20 minutes, DON'T GO TO WORK TODAY.
Eta: apparently that storm that just passed over the neighborhood created a tornado just east of here. Yikes

The silver lining to all of this week get to see more Jenn Reyna tell everyone not to drive.

Too bad Chita's off today :/
45 southbound at Main is one of the worst spots in the city. I can't see your White Oak bayou pic. Can you repost?

Channel 2 has quite the lineup of females but yeah Chita may be the GOAT of local weather broads.

Channel 2 always gets top talent. Dominique Sachse is a Houston newsgirl OG.
