Fuel efficiency is the only thing hurting the Tundra. They have to get better at it to gain market share.

He could have owned and operated a G-6 for the cash he spent taking that pos toyota to the dealership every month.

They are way behind on tech as well.

Truck buyers look hard at things like cameras, integrated brake controllers, and other user-interfaces.

Fuel efficiency is for poors & greens. Less people who can afford a Tundra care than you think. Tundra had a RANGE problem, which they recently solved with a bigger tank.

If your job depends on a well maintained vehicle, there's no reason not to. To add to your point.

I amintain my vehicles really well, but I am fanatical about my RV generator. Oil change every 200 hours (3 LSU football) games, evrything by the book.

NO AC in September is not a good time.

Ehh... they have a chain-driven quad overhead cam, variable valve timing motor with more basic engine tech than what GM is offering with their ancient push-rod motor. They are soon to add an 8-speed transmission, and the one they have now NEVER breaks, unlike their competition. When is comes to basic stuff like engine and tranny tech they are either at-par or ahead still.

Plus Tundra has a rear window that rolls down in its entirety. That's a trump card that nobody else offers.

Seriously. I put about 7k a year on my vehicles.

That's it? You must work in city and everyone you know must be around you..

I commute 40 miles/day for work and my family and best friends are all at least an hour away and I only put about 15k miles/year on my car.

Yeah I just spit out what I remember seeing last on my tachometer as I pulled in the parking lot.

Guy in New Iberia ran over 1,000,000 miles 10 years ago in one of those ubiquitous white Chevy pickups. He was probably pulled over and questioned about being a serial killer a few times in 2001-2002.
