A beater that runs. Serious too. Why spend all this money towards a vehicle that you will be driving around for the company?

Plus, should you lose your job, your then stuck with a huge monthly note.

Something small, cheap, and light.

Boston streets are crappy and traffic is bad.
Get something that you don't beating up.

True. Boston has very mild winters so the OP should be fine.

If you're parking on the streets you may want to get something you don't really care about. If not, then get a fun AWD car.

Honda Accord Turing. You will not regret it. That car has more features than Ron Jeremy in a porno.

Buy a clean used car. Pocket the money to save for a down payment on what you really want. Make the note work for you.

New MDX is really nice. Tough to fit on that note though. Even a lease. New ones get much better gas mileage. Our 2011 only gets 16 mpg on premium.

Accord is also really nice. I4 is pretty peppy for a 4 cyl and 35 mpg. V6 is very powerful.

New Genesis should come out this year. It's very nice.
