You don't have a liquor cabinet and mini bar in your office?

This. Unless it's just some bourbon and Baileys in your coffee or a couple Bloodies.

We are sniffing out a possible work drinker.

Our parking lot has had 2-3 different Fosters "Oilcans" empty just beside random cars.

Seems like a lush move to me. That can is basically a 2 for 1 beer. Guess somebody maybe in the parking lot "getting right " before work.

Not to get drunk, just a nice bourbon or scotch as you start the day.

Sorry I have to work in the morning and be a productive member of society. Not all of us can go to work after 1pm.

Love that place. It's not hard to be there late in the morning.

That place doesn't get going until 4/5am.

My pops was a top guy for a big industrial contractor here in BR growing up and I would go over to his office and a lot of the guys would be getting hammered at random times of the day. He had a mini bar, putting green and bathroom in his office. I always envied his job

Used to know a guy at my old job that spent his lunch breaks parked in the grocery store parking lot down the street killing a six pack. It was sort of a dry, boring office setting. Poor guy also was late twenties with two kids and a fat wife living in Austin. I'm sure he was depressed. He was a fairly good looking guy that, at that age, could've prob been killing it on Rainey Street every weekend. I'm guessing the wife just got fat after the kids and said f*** it.

Back in the 70's-80's during the good ole oil field days, it was very common to see offices with guys smoking and drinking during the work day. They would also conduct a lot of business in bar rooms and strip clubs.

Every morning I walk out my back door, reach into my drink refrigerator and go to grab a beer, call a last second audible and get a water instead. One of these days I'll go with the original play and grab a beer

..and that's what "random" drug tests are for.
It's a great policy.

I realized my buddy might be an alcoholic when he took me to a dingy liquor store and he obviously knew the owner well and said

"where the duck were you this morning. I came by at my usual time and you weren't here?"

"On saturdays, we don't open till 9AM."

Yes, he was employed
