Not to get drunk, just a nice bourbon or scotch as you start the day.

I feel like this was more acceptable when men were men.

I witnessed a guy purchase a fifth of Smirnoff at 6:52 this morning when I stopped at a store on my way to the office. He was dressed for the day.

Unless you're a New Orleans lawyer over 55, save it for lunch.

I would get fired if someone smelled alcohol on my breath at work. It would also show up on random drug tests that all our employees are subject too.

Why stop when you get to work... no sense in starting if you're just gonna quit.

The first step is admitting you have a problem.

i ran into a co worker at a liquor store at 8am one time. Awkward. he was buying vodka, and I was buying bourbon. Mine wasn't for day drinking, not sure about him.

You mean when men were functional alcoholics and it was easier to get away with.

That canned Burger King smell is so strong I doubt any of your coworkers will notice.

A little shot of Baileys in your coffee before work on Fridays never hurt anyone.

A few years ago during some break in school I was at Snake and Jakes in NOLA very late into the morning during the week and I was amazed at the people that came in at 7 AM in suits and got a couple of drinks before going into work.

Usually bring it up during the interview. If they get all up tight about it then it's probably not a place you wanna work anyway.
