Much easier to upload lots of pics in actual fb albums that can be organized than to email them all out.

Negative. That is why God gave you photobucket. Also, the new Google pics app is amazing. It automatically uploads the pics you take with your phone into the google folder and you can choose to automatically share them with other google users. If they have the means to look at FB they can get to google.

I don't understand the big issue/drama people have with facebook. Why would you feel the need to delete it and why would it make your life so much better?

I really want to deactivate it but it's the only way I can keep up with my crossfit group. How else am I going to let everyone know how fit I am and how fat and out of shape they are?

My favorite is someone asks me last minute if I going to something that invited me to on Facebook or wonder why I missed the event.

Who the F assumes you or anyone else uses it as a social planner/calendar?

Or they can just use fb....which more people use. So grandma can see those pics of her grand babies and also see what her other daughter is doing on vacation or keep in touch with her neighbor that just moved to a different state. All in one place.

Yeah you can use those other things as well....but for many it's just easier to use fb. Fb is only as annoying as you let it be. Tired of seeing a friend's 300 baby pics? Another friend's 500th post about advocare? Block them from your feed or defriend them.

No, but reading all the blithering stupidity about a mentally ill former athlete has me seriously considering it.

It may have been addressed in the thread already, but how bad were they obsessed with it or what was so bad an Facebook that deactivating was the best decision they ever made?

This is a question for anyone who's deactivated really, what makes it such a good decision?

Many times the only reason why those women are on FB is to be able to see pics of their grandkids/families that don't live near them.
They all live within a mile of her

I just outgrew it I guess. I just didn't have the need for it anymore. I never ran in to any kind of drama or whatever but there's a reason why FB is linked to so many divorces/break ups. The general public is what too degenerate to be able to handle something like Fb.

Just don't make a dramatic post about culling your friend list. Those are pretty annoying too.

Yes they are. So are the ones where they want you to post why they are a great person or you are defriended.

If grandma needs to rely on FB to keep up with her daughter then they have bigger problems.

Blocking and defriending on FB has never led to any kind of drama...... ever.

I'm only on FB, and I don't let it become a huge part of my life nor do I allow it to bring/create any drama for me. So deactivating it isn't really necessary, nor would it really make my life better.
