Male flight attendants...no respect for them.
Maybe only if they were nailing the female flight attendants...but that would never happen because the female flight attendants are sleeping with the pilots.

I work fairly close with airline crews and they not only put up with a bunch of unnecessary bullshite from passengers who think their bag of pretzels is the most important concern on the planet, they deal with a lot of security issues that you never see.
In this post 9/11 world they have a lot of first responder, safety and security duties that the average person doesn't see unless shite goes sideways. They get a lot more training that you might realize. Yes, they aren't hot like they used to be and yes, they can be crabby bitches at times but they take a lot of shite from people so try to keep that in mind.
Agree with this.
They do A LOT more than act as a waitress.

Some of the old women and gay men are kinda cranky.
That said, if I had to deal with stinking, filthy airplanes, whining people and hot, overcrowded airports day in and day out, I'd probably be going postal.
United first class still rocks, Delta's sucks.

aside from drunk passengers, what shite do they take? I've flown a fair amount and I've never seen the stewardess take shite off of anyone (other than a drunk). Ticket agents are a different story.
They still need to have fitness standards to make sure the stewardess is thin enough to fit between the aisles. Need the same for passengers too.

Two words: Portugalia Airlines. Flew with them this summer in Europe and every flight attendant was beautiful. Tan, long-legged goddesses

My sister was a FA for Northwest and Delta (yeah, no pics but she is attractive ;) ). She enjoyed the job but was furloughed and went another career path.
Worst experience she ever had was a flight on a 757 from ATL to South America. The aircraft started hitting some really bad turbulence outside of some thunderstorms. shite was flying all over the place, people crying and then the Boeing decided it wanted to go knife edge. The passengers were holding her down in the aisle while the plane was auditioning for the Blue Angels by trying to barrel roll.
When they finally landed, she saw the two pilots who were both white as ghosts. About two years ago, I actually ran into the very pilot of that flight on another forum board. Small dang world. True story.
