Agreed if all you do is stay on the strip. Vegas has a pretty dynamic experience when you actually explore the areas around it. NOLA is a bit over rated. I'm hoping this boom they are having will entice them to do some projects to liven it up a bit.

I'm going with Vegas. So much fake bullshite designed to suck money out of your wallet. It proves the point that you can't buy culture.

The point of Vegas is to be cheesy, over the top, and to suck money out your wallet. The they do a good job of not hiding that.

Used to be a great place. Now the water is all they can brag about.

Jax Beach...
Again, who is rating Jax Beach highly? I mean, I like it because I live here. But it's not a tourist destination and it's certainly not highly regarded in just about any way at all.

San Antonio. Especially the alamo. Sucked bad.

Who could overrate Dallas other than people from Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma? Most people in the rest of the country don't give two shites about Dallas. Even quite a few locals I know are somewhat self-deprecating about their own city.
I personally think Dallas is a tad underrated. As always location is key, but it's not a bad place.
You want overrated in Texas? Austin all day long.

CHARLESTON easily takes the cake.

Not only that but it is an ecological disaster- it has destroyed the lower Colorado River. I am hard pressed to think of another city that should not exist. Sure there are some cities that because of growth have sustainability issues and may have created some ecological damage, but at least there was some noble purpose involved. This is the worst city in the world.

I was going to say this. Went a couple of years ago. Stayed downtown. While I thought it was nice, it wasn't all that. Place was a ghost town by 10 pm

Atlantic city is pretty bad and I was there before the storm. Philly sucks as well.
The Grand Canyon is pretty meh once you get past the first 5 minutes.

I don't think Houston or Dallas have been highly rated since the 1980s.
