A girl we were standing near a few years ago in uptown got knocked out by maybe a 10lb bag, so 30lbs is pretty crazy

Well napoleon makes it sound like it was dropped, not thrown. It also seems to me that it most likely was intended for someone. Neither of those things are particularly hard to accept if you use a little common sense.

Well usually if it's intended for someone they are paying attention and they make an attempt to catch it. Sounds like that didn't happen in this case.
