Do you think people really want that lifestyle though? There's something to be said for the people who struggle, work hard, and come out strong on the other end. I would be terribly bored if I was doing what she does. Its also asinine how many "fitness experts" there are out there. For some reason I never trust the fittest experts, because they just seem like the slimy gym salesman.

i try.

i mean for me. she's obviously attractive, but i unfortunately know a lot of it is fake (boobies, botox, etc) and she's a really fun, "nice" girl, but she's left an emotional wake in a lot of people's lives on her way to the top.

This is no shite - I know an older fellow who is now about 85, fairly well-off, but not OT-rich. About 15 years ago, dated this broad who was a little younger than him for about 6 months. Eventually they split up. When asked what happened, he simply stated "I don't have enough money for her."

She went on to marry the owner of a couple local sports franchises.

i'll always remember when she got engaged to this guy (which i have not met, but they say he's a nice guy) my sister in law said "finally, somebody can treat me like i deserve (meaning the money)" and i was like eff that. i don't want anything to do with anybody that has that mindset.

On some level, I actually respect gold diggers.

Look, the vast majority of women want a provider. There's plenty of women that feel the same way that gold diggers do but hide their true intentions behind pretense so as to not scare men off. That's why so many of them change after they get married.

Some women just like a man that can make a lot of money. Money is power. It's no more reprehensible than liking a man for his looks IMO.

I wouldn't trust one to be faithful, those women are always flirting with guys at the gym.

Its never enough. They have to have a benz or a lexus or a top of the line Tahoe. Expensive trips are expected. Nice house that is $300,000 or so isn't enough, has to be even more.

There is one woman I know here in Jackson. just turned 40 and drop dead gorgeous. Trips, cars, her house, all bought and paid for. Its known that if you want to see her, you better be a sugar daddy. She's cashed out quite well.

and to the original OP, is her name Trish because that sounds just like someone I know who is a traveling nurse.

Or its just coveting what they think is promised/guaranteed through vast wealth. I dont respect gold diggers at all. Those women are fooled by thinking they need lots of money to be happy. They have no character, no appreciation of suffering, no understanding of what it's like to not have. You get your basic needs met, and then it starts to become about what you can do to find purpose. Sadly this woman you speak of seems to be lost on what life's about. At her age she exhibits the greed of a whiny child at the toy store, and how fricking miserable she must be when she doesn't get her way. She's going the wrong way in life, and I hope she doesn't have kids. How could this woman ever participate in any charity? her life basically proves that she believes only money matters, and well. ...not everyone can luck into money.

And yes it is reprehensible because it teaches younger generations the lie that money = happiness. There's a balance missing. Looks never made a marriage last longer, and extraordinary amounts of wealth seem to be chronically addicted to shitty spousal relations. Stop justifying Kim Kardashian types. They're the worst type of females.

Who are any of us to tell others if they're going about life the "right" way or the wrong way, whatever that means? They do what makes them happy. You're crazy if you don't think lots more women don't have the same underlying desires that gold diggers do, but have inhibitions that prevent them from acting on those desires.

I respect gold diggers, and by that I mean the women that let it be known what they are. At least they're not hiding behind some pretense then dropping it once they get what they want. That doesn't mean I agree with the way they live, but I respect that they represent their values. Sadly, when people marry they're often hiding things from their partner for the sake of being married. It all comes out in the end. Meanwhile, gold diggers put it all out there for everyone to see, so that anyone that gets involved with them knows what they're getting into.

Why can't people just want different things than you want in life? Money may make certain people happy, and that's ok. They don't have an obligation or responsibility to teach the younger generation anything. The younger generation can make decisions that best suit them.

I respect whores more. At least they're honest. Gold diggers have taken what you correctly observe is a typical trait amongst women (i.e., wanting to find a provider) and use deceit to obtain that.

Maybe I'm getting tripped up by semantics. That's not who I'm talking about. I find those types to be reprehensible.

What I respect are the women that let it be known that they prioritize men with wealth. But maybe the true gold diggers are the ones that hide who they are and lie to get what they want.

And yes, lots of men are guilty of the same thing, albeit it's not usually money they lie about.

Sounds like that episode of Seinfeld where Tim Watley and Elaine were going to the superbowl after Jerry gave Tim his tickets.

"Right Downtown" Guess he meant poundtown.
