Bought my first house from a contractor/brick layer. He and family lived in this new house until it was finished and I visited them several times before moving in. Every time I visited there was a life insurance agent there which I thought was strange. His step daughter was dating a soccer player from Brazil and he went to visit down there for some reason. Next thing I know he's found dead in S. America from a house fire. I thought that was no accident and soon forgot about it.

So his widow soon marries some bar owner and the next thing I know her new husband was lured into some remote location and blown away with a shotgun at close range. She and her son (trigger man) were convicted and sentenced soon after. Son on 1st degree murder but not sure about his mom. This happened about 30 yrs ago.

I'm pretty sure she set up the brick layer husband to collect the life insurance just like she did the bar owner husband.

She's a gold digger extrod-a-nair.

One week before our trip she calls me and says she is low on cash. Said she needed me to transfer money immediately into a checking count. She said don't be cheap. I need at least 5K and not to worry

Doesn't fit the MO of a gold digger. More like a scam artist.

I used to keep a girl on retainer kind of like that, I never gave her 5k, but it was a nice set up, I gave her a few bucks every once in a while if she needed it, we enjoyed each others company, and we were pretty much on call frick buddies

About two months ago, wife sets up my little cousin with this decent looking redhead she knows from church. They go on two dates and hit it off great but then he gets laid off from work. She never calls him again.

She's not a gold digger. She's just taking care of herself, and she's smart to do so.

The op should have had the girl get a check from whomever sent her the check she had a picture of. How hard is that.

What I respect are the women that let it be known that they prioritize men with wealth. But maybe the true gold diggers are the ones that hide who they are and lie to get what they want.

I once knew a woman like that in college. She was an LSU cheerleader who was majoring in engineering. We had been flirting back and forth and were in a study group together when she told me a piece of brutal honesty when I asked her what made her want to major in Petroleum Engineering. She said she wanted to marry someone who was going to be a multi-multi millionaire, and that PETE seemed an easier way to do that then getting some BS degree like all the sorority suzies looking for their Mrs. degree. I was disappointed, of course, because that meant I didn't have a chance with her (not that it stopped me from trying/failing), but I respected her candor.

I feel like most women are gold diggers. At least the ones I meet. It's too bad I'm frugal.

Ignorant at the time it sounds like. Respect her candor, but I cannot respect her desire for money above all else, especially if it prevented her from meeting someone that would have made her life a lot better in many other aspects. Something tells me her being a "multi-millionaire" did not work out so hot, and I bet she changed her outlook a bit after time.

She can't take care of herself to begin with? If she has a job then it seems like him having a job makes no difference, especially if they are just dating and not married.

I took that to mean she was giving him her routing/account numbers

It's just a different mindset that many women have relative to men regarding sex.

Men see money/power as a tool, sex as a goal.
Women see sex as a tool, money/power as a goal.

The guy she's engaged to is still in his mid 20s and well on his way to being a multi-millionaire. Will probably be a millionaire by the time you read this post, haha.

It's just preferences the way I see it. That's why I don't have a problem with it.

I don't see it as any different as guys liking women with a big rack or nice legs. Neither money nor body parts has anything to do with character. Doesn't mean women can't eventually develop meaningful relationships with rich men.

It's a desire for security. Money just happens to provide security. Women will prioritze security over everything else.

Then its obviously not going to last. She is going to find out really quickly that marriage isn't as glamorous as it sounds, and its not that much easier when you include money. If he has all the money, then whats to stop other gold digging whores who look more attractive than her from trying to get into his graces on the side? She's eventually going to age and inevitably his eyes will wander to other women, and that may hit by her mid 30s.

Security in what respect? You can have all the money in the world and still be miserable, and mentally shot, thus negating any security money might conjure you. Think about the people who "have it all going for them" and commit suicide out of nowhere? Is that the security people expect money fix? Security is about being smart in what you do, balanced in how you live your life, balanced in your value system, having a good support system from others, and how you spend your money no matter what the amount is. Sounds like she is in for a devilishly rude awakening.
