Listen, some people place football higher on the hierarchy than you then. Does that make them wrong or dumb? No. Some people put weddings (ones where they're regular guests and aren't an integral part of) lower on the totem pole.

For the record, he wasn't arguing that guests don't matter or that it's a wonderful idea. He's responding to that tard spouting off about people being selfish and betas and whatever else.

Regardless of your stance, I'd avoid being lumped with that idiot.

Woke up, had breakfast, got dressed, went to church, got married, had reception, drove off to hotel, furious fricking ensued, drinking, more fricking, went to sleep.

I think it sucks more for you that you don't have anyone in your life whose wedding is more than "insignificant".

There are plenty of people in my life who would hurt my feelings deeply if they didn't attend .. Because they are NOT insignificant.

Sorry you don't have that with anyone.

This was never about random strangers' weddings..

I wouldn't bother. He's too stupid. He'd rather sit around a tailgate with his redneck family and meathead friends talking about some random pac-12 game.

Not all football and not all weddings are created equal.

Some football >> some weddings. Some weddings >> some football.

Weddings > anything else

I feel sorry for you.

What these newbies don't understand is that a wedding takes planning. The places that you often want to get married are booked well in advance.

Dude pops the question.

Bride starts the planning.

If the dude would pop the question during football season, there would be a low chance of a fall wedding. But most dumb asses pop the question in the Spring and they get what they get, a Fall wedding.

Amateurs!

Did I say that, genius?

Also if you consider watching a sport as a hobby, I can only assume that you're about 5'7 and weigh 250 pounds.

My brother got married last year during the Alabama Lsu game. I was the best man and told him I would rather watch the game instead of standing in his wedding.

I no longer part of my family. I made the right call

I have plenty of significant friends, don't worry about that.

Now dipshit Circle K, is making assumptions that I have a redneck family and meat head friends which is way off base. I enjoy tailgating and actually attending games. Honestly, it's probably one of my favorite things to do in life and it only happens a few Saturdays a year. If you don't have anything like that in your life (doesn't have to be a sport) that you pretty much drop everything for and plan around, than once again your life probably sucks.

keep repeating, parrot.

the point is is that weddings are pretty damn high on the list. if someone invites you to their wedding, they don't view you as insignificant. but, heaven forbid, you miss your precious football game.

watching TV. nothing more, nothing less.

A hobby requires DOING something.

Idk, I guess it fits the definition. I just consider hobbies as things you actually do, not watch other people do.

Good decision. I mean, Alabama football games only come around once in a lifetime.

I know man. It was so important that I watched it by myself so no one would distract me and not make me miss A PLAY
