His son will get married on a big LSu game and he will order him to put a 190" tv right behind the alter with the game on so loud you can't hear anything else. Then he will be happy..... maybe

I'm getting married in a few months! My pre-wedding plans are sleepover with my bridesmaids, wake up, pamper, champagne bar, then get married.

I still lean more towards the tradition of the aisle being the first time to see each other, but I think the idea of a first look is cool and totally see why it's relatively popular.

We did all the pictures beforehand, so I saw her in the dress a few hours before the ceremony... and so did everyone else in the wedding party and all guests that arrived early. No surprise there.

Woke up.
Finished making programs. Got an Uncle to pick them up at Kinko's.
Went to salon. Got hair done. Toes done. Drank champagne cocktails. Enjoyed time with the ladies in my life.
Went to parent's house. Makeup done. Got dressed. Prayed. Pictures.
Arrived at church with police escort. Realized I forgot the sign in book at the house. Used somebody's phone to call the cop and housekeeper at the house. He was very confused. Pleaded with limo driver to go back and get it. He did. He got an extra hundo.
Walked up the aisle.
Veil fell off.
Got married.
Bridesmaid punched veil back in head.
Walked back out the aisle.
Started raining so cocktail hour in the zoo was canceled.
Danced, partied. Had an excellent time.
Drove in the pouring down rain in a rolls with tiny wipers to the Roosevelt.
Spent 3 hours at the Roosevelt doing none of your business.
Oh also got a friend to leave my scuba mask at the front desk because I forgot to pack that too.

If you want me at your wedding and its during an LSU game you better be close family and have a real good relationship with my wife. If not, enjoy your gift.

I always like the "First Look" photos before the wedding, but I'm too superstitious to do it. Bad luck, and all of that.

I agree with this. I think it's so inconsiderate for people to have Baton Rouge weddings at the same time as an LSU football game.

We pushed back our engagement party just in case the Saints went to the playoffs.

Woke up not feeling sensational from the night before
Dropped my car off where we were staying that night which was a little cottage on the Tchefunte river
Went to The Chimes in Covington with some friends for lunch and a few beers
Came back to the hotel and played a pickup basketball game
Showered
Pictures at church
Ceremony
Rolls Royce to Reception
Reception and drank champagne all night
Limo to cottage
Boom shakalaka
Scarfed down some of our amazing reception food that they had packaged up for us
Passed out
Woke up next day with no hangover
Went on honeymoon the following day

I really love when people book an extra assistant/photographer to get photos of the groom and groomsmen getting ready as well as photos of the brides and bridesmaids getting ready.

I can't imagine caring so much about a football game... which happens 12-14 times a year... every single year.

Absolutely. I'm not sure if you've recently looked into wedding photography, but an extra photographer came with every package I looked at. It's pretty typical now to see that.

Maybe that explains why the prices are so much higher.

Definitely not Just crying over strangers' wedding photos is enough for me right now.

We didn't have this, but we were just in the next building over at the ranch, so she came and took some of us as well. Obviously most of the time was spent with the bride though.

As far as fall weddings go, there was a 0% chance we were going to do that. I used to throw the tailgate parties and back then I wouldn't go to a wedding on a home game day... now I probably would unless it's out of town on the same day as a big game. The non-conference games... whatever.

It goes both ways. Your wedding day may be your biggest day of your life but that's not the same for your guests. There are 52 Saturdays a year. We get 7 of those a year for home football games. Pick one of the other 45 Saturdays or even one of the 52 Fridays if you don't want to have people annoyed at you.
